Frequently asked questions

How do I scan a document?

Tap the camera button, point at your document, and SnapDoc detects the edges automatically. In Auto mode it captures once the document is steady; in Manual mode, line it up and tap the shutter. You can adjust the corners on the next screen.

What's the difference between Auto and Manual mode?

Auto uses live edge detection and captures automatically when the document is stable. Manual shows a fixed guide frame and captures when you tap. Your choice is remembered for next time.

How do the enhancements (Sharpen, Boost text, Remove shadow) work?

On the preview screen you can toggle Sharpen, Boost text, and Remove shadow, or switch between Color, Grayscale, and Black & White. These clean up lighting and make text crisper before you save.

How do credits and ads work?

Scanning and saving are free. Some premium actions (such as merging PDFs, adding a signature, or locking files) use credits. You can earn more credits by watching a short rewarded ad. New installs start with free credits.

How do I add a signature or annotate a PDF?

Open a PDF and use the toolbar to add text, an image, or your signature. You can move, resize, and remove annotations. Exported PDFs keep your annotations sharp.

How do I merge PDFs or convert a photo to PDF?

Use the Merge option to combine multiple PDFs into one, or Convert to turn an imported image into a PDF. You can also reorder, rotate, and delete pages.

How does the Private folder work?

Move sensitive documents into the Private folder and protect it with a passcode and Face ID. The passcode is stored securely on your device.

Are my documents private?

Yes. Your scans and documents are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

How do I manage advertising consent?

If you're in a region where consent is required (such as the EEA or UK), you can review or withdraw your advertising consent at any time from Settings → Manage consent in the app. You can also control tracking on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual documents or folders inside the app, or use Settings → Clear all data to remove everything. Since data is stored only on your device, deleting it removes it completely.
